I had a dream that god had come down to pick up his people and send them to heaven and i saw everybody being given the power to fly and everybody was flying to the sky to the heavens, but i was one of the last ones given the power, i want to know what this means and if this means that i need to do something to save myself.

We get to heaven in different ways.....we either die or we will be raptured....
the rapture is meant to take everyone at the same time....so....
it must meant that others will die before you, and you will be the last of your loved ones to die

Thats funny (meaning strange) because I have had a dream where I was walking & talking with some friends and as I was walking along I started to fly & they carried on walking towards a hole & I could not help them.
I shall now go back and read other peoples answers as I have seen I think a couple of others with simular experiences. Mind I do not know what this dream means.

There are a few kinds of dreams that one can have...
1. the body in its course of rest "recalibrates" every night
this sometimes triggers memories and thoughts you have
in your mind real or imagined...and mean nothing...
2. there are dreams that come out when under stress/duress
and are a reflection of what is currently going on in your life
these don't always mean anything...
3. then there are the other dreams.....these ones need to be careful with as you can connect to things that you probably
shoudn't IF you start following them....
the 3rd kind are hard to divide from something the Holy Spirit maybe telling you you need to do VS the things you should'nt connect to....so proceed with caution(prayer)...
without knowing more about you or whats going on in your life
i wouldn't want to read anything into your dream that might
not be true.

Sometimes dreams like this can be telling us that we may need to look at things in our lives to see if there is something to work on, Maybe someone is asking for help and needs directions in their walk and you want to give them the right answers.
Or maybe it's also saying that if you want to go to be with God then you need to follow Him and not the world or things around you.

Dreams are weird sometimes. I once had a dream that I was kissing Margaret Thatcher!!!

I agree with JC, we can't save ourselves only Jesus can save us, so hang on tight to Him. The Bible tells us that the dead in Christ will be raised first then the rest of us will be caught up to meet them and Him in the air, so maybe your dream means you will still be alive when He comes.

I think you need to stop doing so many drugs.
About a month ago, I drank a bottle of concentrated DXM. When I fell asleep I had a dream that I was standing outside of the Roman Forum, and couldn't get in because it was closed.
That was the worst dream I'd ever had.

It doesn't mean anything. Dreams are the result of the interaction between the amygdala (controls emotion) and the hippocampus (controls memory). You fear not being "saved" at all. There is nothing to worry about. In the end, no one will be saved.

It means you are not very secure spiritually. You feel like you are on the very edge, hen it comes to being chosen by God to go to heaven. All I can do is advise you to pray/meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, don't overindulge, and stay open to God's inspiration and guidance.
