My family (whom i don't live with) thinks it's tacky but i swear it is the sickest sofa ever :)
it's like a big pillow. my house is plain (white walls, biege carpets and wood floors) do you think it would look off? or is it just what my living room needs?
thanks!

DW is right on.
If I had nothing but a big red sofa, I would die happy.
Go for it!
If you get tired of it after a hundred years, throw a cover over it.

I think that since your room is so plain it will add some feeling to the room- a feeling of your unique taste! Try adding some other items, like plants, artwork, and nice lighting, so it doesn't seem too... you know, strange.

Go with what you think is best, after all, it is yours!
Good luck!

Red is a powerful color and one you will be trying to decorate around for years. If you don't mind that your taste will change and you will want something less forceful and difficult to decorate around, then go for it. But be comfortable enough with your decorating talents to work with it. Otherwise it's going to be a big red thing in your living room.

The bigger and redder, the better. Nothing like a comfy, happy place to park it at the end of a long hard day.

I, personally, would never buy a red sofa. You asked for my opinion!

It's tacky! My opinion

I love red sofas and chairs as long as they are not bright red.

Comfy rocks and with what you have going on color wise it probably livens things up a bit.
