I have been going to the gym the last 4 months and have gain 12 kg now i am 70 kg..... Which i am really happy with.... The problem is though as i am gaining muscle i am also getting a bigger belly which is really unatractive. I really need to flatten my stomach.

I am instructed to have a high protien and carb diet so i need to eat alot of calories to gain weight which im trying to do i want to get to 80 kg. I am eating healthy foods which are low in fat. so im eating healthy too but my belly keeps coming out.... I do weight training 3 times a week working most muscle groups on my body.

I just dont want a pot belly to go along with my weight gain.. any advice plz.

Just eating low fat foods will not take away your belly fat. If you want to get rid of your belly fat, I'd say increase your weight training to maybe 4 or 5 times a week, if not.. keep it at 3 times a week but you should also go running. You can't target weight loss and you can't lose fat on just your belly. Running burns fat all over the body, including your stomach. Go running maybe 3 or 4 times a week for a while and see how it turns out. Keep eating healthy though!

serious bodybuilders always split gainning muscle and getting lean. building a great body that works is a very long journey, maybe in a couple of months, when you think you've had gained muscle enough for the moment, you could change your training to getting lean, then you change your diet and focus on aerobic exercises, a sport (running or boxing if you dont like grouping), that justifiy all the muscle work. on the long run, if theres no reason other than appearance to work out youll end up leaving the routine. Later you turn back into building more muscle, then again getting rid of fat.... you thoght it would be easy didnt you?

The way I did it was not to worry so much on working out. I played lots of endurance sports to drop body fat, like soccer and basketball. The muscle comes nautrally and the fat drops, making the muscle pronounced. I only work out about 4 days a week, but its mainly cardiovascular and resistance.

you need to get your body fat analyzed. the higher the body fat percentage the easier it is for the body to continually increase fat stores. adipose tissue is a major conversion site for testosterone to estrogen, further increasing fat storage.

the body fat percentage is a direct indicator of insulin sensitivity. when insulin sensitivity is high the body is lean and more nutrients are transported into muscle cells then into fat cells. as insulin sensitivity decreases more nutrients are transported into fat cells, they do not become resistant to the effects of insulin.

so basically the leaner you are the easier it is to gain muscle. personally I don't recommend males to let the body fat % get much higher than 15-16%, this is for optimum health.

Ab workouts and no carbs or processed foods for the fact that it makes you bloated and drinking tons of water. make sure to workout 30 mins a day and do ab workout with a ball so your head or neck won't hurt ya.
