Nope, and not Attila the Hun, any of the Popes, or any other historical figure who is now dead. Besides, if sacrifice is the key, I know some old African guys - really great guys - who would help me sacrifice a few chickens and other things to improve my life greatly... I hear the Orisha appreciate that very much.
However, if not - I'll just wholesale reject the self-hate that comes with believing I am sinful at birth. I'll revel in the beauty of human life and my own natural state, and will not appologize or beg forgiveness for the way I was born to anyone ever.
SACRIFICE... "It takes someone without sin to do that" amounts to saying if a roomful of bad people do bad things then we can just kill a good one and all is well again. NOPE - two wrongs don't make a right. Besides, Jesus didn't commit ritual suicide. He was murdered. That's not much of a sacrifice, is it?
Also, for people who think he was God, if God cannot die then you have a problem on your hands, don't you? Either there was no true death, and thusly no sacrifice of life, or there was and it couldn't have been God, right?
I don't need salvation - what would I be saved from? I do not believe in Hell, nor am I concerned about it for even a second. No god of love would do such a thing to people. No god of hate who would could win my vote either, so I guess your religion can basically take a hike.
Respectfully submitted,
Krodin

You've said it Mac. The reason why this message is not popular with the crowd today is the same as it was when Jesus walked the earth. Jesus sums it up this way: "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil." John 3:19
In Him,
Jack

Mac:
You have a good heart, but know that Jesus Christ established 'the city on the hill' to save and bring you to Heaven. This is the First Church of Christ, the Holy Roman Catholic Church with the Holy Father as the Earthly Leader.
We are saved through Baptism and the Sacraments as described by the Church. Each must work out his salvation with 'fear and trembling.' You will know if you are saved at the moment of death in the Particular Judgment of Jesus Christ.

No.
See your God would throw the murderer in prison for all eternity to be tortured.
What good does that do?
Punishment by its very definition has as its purpose the reform of the punished. Eternal suffering isn't punishment, it is torture -- sadism of the worst kind.
If I need to be saved -- I will not worship the guy I need to be saved from.

No, I would like to look around the whole idea of one God really does not make sense. Everything has balance and I all power male being doesn't follow the balnace. I like to look around a bit. Plus is pure or minor love with him or love, but hes going to send you to hell with this love.

I'm not sure. I believe that we as humans are to small to ever grasp the complexities of religion and the meaning of life, and that instead of following a strict set of specific rules about living under a specific higher being, we should just be grateful for our life, live each day to the fullest, help others to do so, respect all religions, work for peace, live well, laugh often, and love constantly.
That's what I believe........ Love to all, thank you.

No, not in the least. I think what you are saying is completely wrong, that your ideas of sin and the nature of humans are inaccurate, and that I have not accepted Jesus as my personal saviour.
Well, it answered your question.

No, I haven't accepted Jesus as my personal saviour.
I don't need saving.
By the way, Bad Liberal just became my new hero. I'm definitely using that one in my lecture tomorrow. Move over, Cicero.
