with the Rangers Tom Hicks? or will A-Rod get a contract that pretty much follows what he is making now, 22-25 million? or will Boras find a sucker and get pay-rod the 35-40 million Boras is seeking? What will the contract length be, the total value and what team will sign gay-rod?

I say, the Angels will sign him for 10 years, 300 million

Yeah. He gets away with a ridiculous salary for one of his players every offseason, I see no reason why this year would be any different. I think he'll get A-Rod a contract that will pay him $280 million over 10 years with bonuses that could push it up towards that $350 million mark. As far as the team, I'm thinking he ends up with the Dodgers even though the owner is notorious for not liking to deal with Boras.

I think everybodys' on to his crap. Just about every teams' GM-owner says the same thing; if I pay Boras' asking price, I wont be able to afford to field a team around A-Rod, so how much sense would that make? I think Alex and Boras are gonna find out a hard truth; baseball will go on perfectly well without them.

It'll be the Angels, but I can't see them paying A-Rod more than 200 million for 10 years. If Boras is expecting to hold out for more cash, A-Rod will have to wait a year or two to get someone else to be interested, and I just don't see it happening.

Yes, because Boras is Boras, A-Rod is A-Rod, and owners are still stupid. I agree, I think the Angels are going to sign him. He's clearly an AL player, and playing in front of forgiving fans for once should allow him a decent amount of comfort as he hunts down Barry's record.

He got away with it when A-Rod was what? 28 years old? I don't think he can pull the same crap how that he's 35 years old. And Boras is the Agent for the Famously overpaid under achievers. You really have to be a moron to pay that kind of money who is a headcase and drama queen. Ask his old teammates, I bet you they are all glad he left.
And Selig is seriously pissed about how Bora's little announcement upstaged the final game of the World Series, maybe he will intervene to make them eat some humble pie.

the only way a team would be a sucker to get arod is if they are in the boat the rangers were in when they signed, namely having no other real pieces of the puzzle
i do beleive my halos will get him, and i dont think theyd be suckers if they do, the angels have a lot of good pieces in place, in the lineup (vlad, anderson, kotchman, kendrick) the rotation (lackey, escobar, weaver) the bullpen (shields, k-rod) and the minors (wood and a lot of other guys none of you have probably ever heard of) adding a-rod would just be adding the final piece to make this team a possible dynasty
i think its safe to say vlad/a-rod/anderson/kotchman could eassily match up with ramirez/ortiz/lowell, and lets face it, when push comes to shove at this point the angels, bosox and indians are the class teams of baseball

Given that A-Rod is already the highest paid player in the game, I think he'll have a hard time finding someone willing to give him a $350M contract. Most likely, he'll find someone willing to give a 5 or 6 year contract at around $30M/year.

I'm wondering if we could actually see a baseball season with NO AROD!!! how refreshing........
especially if it beats some humility upside his head.

" ty cobb wanted to come but no one wanted to play with the sob!"- shoeless joe in field of dreams. arod should take heed.
