There are only worms if the animal (cow, pig, whatever) had worms. Not all of them do. It depends on where the animal came from and whether it was given treatment for worms. I would say in a third world country, close to all of the animals have worms, but it would be very uncommon in the US or other wealthy nations. The big problem here with meat seems to be E coli.

I'm not sure what led you to your question but if you read somewhere about trichinosis in pork, most of today's pigs don't have it - what used to spread it was when pigs ate slop - leftovers from the table - some rotting, etc.
Pigs raised for market are pretty much clear of that at least if raised in the U.S.
If you are talking about any other kind of "worms" I think it has been addressed with other e-mail. Not all meat has worms - different kinds of bacteria (that we all have - good and bad) but not worms. Probably problems in 3rd world countries but not here in the U.S. Only problem I hear about here is the e-coli but I haven't personally known of anyone who has experienced it and all my friends and family eat a lot of meat but handle it properly.
If you were to go into a fancy restaurant and order steak tartare, you would be given a ground steak with spices - raw - so no - not all meat has worms.

The worms usually hang around the bottom at night.
It causes itching that's why they usually like to treat the animal othewise the animal won't be able to sleep properly and also the worms live off the contents of the stomach which means the animal becomes restless and loses weight.

Why would there be worms in meat? If you found some, take it back and complain.

meat could be infected with viruses...or bacteria...or molds
It depends how the meat was: raised, slaughtered, processed and then packaged..
At any point some pathogen could have been introduced..
Now...that pathogen must have conditions that allow it to probogate...reproduce....or just created toxins (bacteria)
Then your chances of getting sick increase...
It always depends on your susceptibility....e-coli is in dirt...(and other places)
some people can eat dirt....and have no problems
