Yeah, I'm allergic to apples, peaches, plums, cherries, bananas, broccoli, celery especially, cucumbers, however I'm only allergic to them when they're raw. Oh and nuts too, but raw or cooked I'm allergic. I get a really itchy throat, and when i eat celery i get extremely swollen eyes and lips, and when i eat nuts i get hives on my face and neck.

Yes ! I cannot eat most fruits. My daughter is allergic to all nuts. And me and all three of my daughters are allergic to yellow dyes found in food, soaps and cosmetics. If you have not seen an allergist as yet, please do.

I am also allergic to all of the food items you listed (and then some!) The raw fruits and veggies always make it difficult for me to breathe and make my throat itchy, while the cooked versions are fine. I usually choose to eat some of them anyway (depending on the severity of the allergic response) because I would otherwise starve! I simply avoid the ones which cause my mouth and throat to swell.
You can certainly talk to a doctor about this and see about an oral medication which would tone down the allergic response. Or you could simply avoid the worst ones, like I do. You will eventually begin to note which ones are worse than others (bananas are the only thing that will kill me!) Another thing I have found is if I eat something i am allergic to, I will immediately drink something, swishing it around in my mouth, and this significantly reduces my reactions (with even bananas).

Yes, me too. Most tree fruits, nuts, pototo peels. I can eat the fruits if they are cooked. I am not allergic to citrus fruit or melons. Take this very seriously, see a doctor! You do not want your throat to swell and close. Nuts are really a problem because I find they are in so many things, unlabeled. I avoid almost all sweets as a result. There are also charts that say if you are allergic to one thing, you should be careful of another. You should look into this. I don't eat celery because it was on the list of things I should watch for. Best of luck to you, be careful!

I used to be allergic to most raw fruits and vegetables. I was allergic to: bananas, oranges, grapefruit, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, celery, carrots, potatoes, watermelon, cantalope, cucumbers, peas, cauliflower, and probably a few others. About the only things I could eat raw were: apples, peaches, onions and berries. Just getting the juice on my skin would make me break out in a rash.
My raw fruit and vegetable allergy finally went away. I went to an allergist and got allergy desensitation shots for my pollen allergies. After being on the shots for five years, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away! Now I can eat them for the first time in my life.

There are thousands of people allergic to all these items mentioned plus more. Nuts are the #1 food, people are allergic to, and some schools have banned peanut butter from their menus. The good news is that at some point, you may outgrow these allergic reactions.

Yes, it is possible to be allergic to fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts. Although these are not as common as say a pollen allergy, there are people out there with a specific food allergy.
