I have been golfing now for about 2 years and have a pretty slow swing; about 75-85; and really lack distance. I hit hybrids pretty farther and more crisp than regular irons for some reason. I average around 85-100 depending on the course. I really need some new irons that cant cost more than $650. Maybe a LITTLE more but not much... VOICE YOUR OPINIONS HERE WITH LINKS AND PRICES! THANKS!
Please don't say "it's all your opinion...." I have heard that plenty of times. Thanks.

Callaways x10. For $500 you could buy a set.

Basically any set of clubs is in your price range if you shop eBay or on a golf website's Buy/Sell forum.
You should check out Golf Digest's online "Hotlist" for irons. You'll probably want to look at the game improvement irons. The irons you find there might be over your budget brand new but can be found slightly used for considerably less.
Personally, I would suggest Callaway Big Bertha irons, Taylormade rac OS or rac OS2, Ping G2 or G2 HL (high launch). You will want regular flex shafts (not stiff)
All of the clubs I mention are oversized, very forgiving and will still be quality clubs when your game improves. Best of all, the TaylorMade and Callaways can be bought brand new for around $300. And the Pings can be found used for about the same price.

For $650 you can get a set of custom fitted clubs. They will play as well or better than any major brand. I use the Evolution set from KZ Golf that cost me around $700, and I'd take them over anything under $1200 any day of the week. It is a forged set though, which tend to be more expensive. They make plenty of models in your price range. See if they have a fitter in your area. It never hurts to check them out, and you will probably like them better than anything else you find!
BTW, Clubfitting is free with custom clubs. Some off-the-rack clubs require to to pay extra if you need any adjustments, so many people would save a lot of money going custom.

Try out some at a local golf store and see which ones you hit the best and which ones feel the best to you. I prefer Nickent with stiff shafts (mens) myself. They have a super feel - smooth like slicing through butter. They retail for about $800 but was able to find some on Ebay for $400. They include irons 5 - 10 with SW, GW, PW and 3 & 4 hybrids. I use every one of them too! It covers all the distances for me without having to choke down on any. Great set!!!!
