one thats can have everything good going for him, then just break up with his girlfriend which in turn leads to loosing all friends and job, and having to go through it alone with social isolation, but still confident and getsa better job dos better in school, and still out getting girls

This to me sounds like a very confident, independent, and optimistic person. I would say that there are a lot of people like this person going around. So in turn i say no i don't think its rare. Too bad not everyone can be like this person.
