Those new devices due to come out in 2012 (apparently) called Memographic chips which are somehow implanted behind the eyeball (safely) and connected to the optic nerve (not so safe). These devices basically record everything our eyes ever see and they use the actually brain as memory instead of having a digital flash drive. Do a google search for them. They are made by Hollen Corporation but I think Apple have something to do with it too.

And these can also link to one another so you can communicate using them. Not sure though.

What will replace books? Or hand-writing? Or paper?

Nothing. Photography will always be an option. Though 3-D imagery might be popular in the future.

I think photography will evolve into more areas (infrared, HDR, stereoscopy, holography) but there will still be plenty of point and shoot going on.

If you mean FILM photography, the digital age has turned the masses away from the film process for the most part. Next will be electronic stimulus directly from one brain or storage container to another...from someones' concept or artform, directly to your Broca's brain. It's coming.
