Especially considering that:
1. He was only 5'8", and weighed 135lbs.
2. He was nearsighted
3. One of his legs was almost an inch shorter than the other.
Yes, it's all true. Very impressive. One of his philosophies was to "take advantage of your disadvantages".

For years, I lived in the neighborhood in which Bruce Lee was born as Lee Jun-Faan. I never met him, since I am much younger, of course. He died on my 5th birthday. There is much controversy about his actual abilities. I do not accept all of these things you say are documented, and some of his relatives do not either. I've been timed at .04 secconds and faster yet, so I am faster than Bruce. I lifted my 245 pound brother with one hand and tossed him across the room when he had a tantrum and attacked me. I smashed 6 pieces of concrete with a 3" punch. I have snatched coins off men's hands. Several men can do that. I told my brother to hold his hands 6" or so apart and clap them when I drew my pistol. I extended my arm fully above my head and drew and put my gun between his hands before he could clap. There are many men who can do some of these things listed here and better, but others are impossible. Bruce would be pleased to know that so many people believe the legends about him and do not see the real man with flaws that we all have.

I love Bruce too, but I think we should take everything with a grain of salt. People tend to exaggerate especially when talking about someone they admire who is no longer around to confirm or deny the facts presented, that's how campfire stories and tall tales originated. All that talk about the feats of Davy Crockett or Paul Bunyan and Jesse James were based on real people, but each tale grew as it was passed on from one storyteller to another. As far as I know, the hand speed record attributed to Bruce was based on a martial arts demo where Bruce performed a finger jab and asked a Karateka volunteer to try to block it, but since Bruce didn't telegraph his attack, the karateka had a hard time anticipating his attack and therefore couldn't block it. I doubt if there was anyone in the crowd who used a speed measuring device, so I'd assume the speed record is just an estimate and not accurate. Regarding the one inch punch incident, the guy who volunteered held a padding in his chest to prevent injury and stood with a chair behind him to catch his fall, the momentum from the one inch punch propelled the guy backwards and since he fought to regain his balance he staggered backwards a couple more feet and ended up sitting on the chair and sliding backwards further from the momentum, so the 15 feet distance was not all from the punch, had he not tried to fight the momentum, he would've just bowled over a couple of feet away from Bruce much nearer than 15 feet. As for his movement being too fast for the cameras, that actually happened on the set of the TV series "The Green Hornet", since Bruce who played the role of the sidekick "Kato", was still practicing Wing Chun at that time, he found that the short quick movements of the Wing Chun techniques were too compact and brief, therefore too fast for most untrained audiences to see(remember this was the late 60s when people still weren't familiar with the martial arts unlike most audiences today), which was why he developed a new way of fighting onscreen which involved flashy kicks and punches that register better onscreen so people can actually follow the action, which led people to believe that what they see onscreen is his true fighting skill which it wasn't, he was actually more known for his hand techniques than kicks in real life among the martial arts circle. And about the dime trick, any sleight of hand magician can perform it so it's not really as extraordinary as one would think. The push ups and the elevated V were not surprising since Bruce was such a health freak and had a pretty ripped abs due to his intensive training, he trained with weights, medicine ball, a variety of self designed training apparatus built by his student James Lee and was even rumored to use electroshock devices to stimulate his muscles. All in all, Bruce was extraordinary because he was driven and well motivated. Whatever he put his mind into, he did with utmost focus and determination. This is what I admired about him, not just his martial arts skills, but his mental strength, he fought discrimination and set about to conquer the world's imagination with martial arts, and judging from all the topics and posts about him here in Yahoo Answers, from the good ones to the most inane posts from people around the world, I'd say he succeeded beyond his imagination.

(next time best delete the numbers when you paste)
I always found this one to be the best
Lee could spring a 235lb opponent 15 feet away with a 1 inch punch.
or how he broke a 150 lb punching bag was pretty mind blowing as well

I believe the stats about speed, but common sense and physics makes the 235 pound man flying 15 feet complete garbage.
