My nissan pickup had 2 large rust holes in the frame when i purchased it, has now been fixed, my parents nissan pathfinder had several rust holes in the frame at differents spots. I have heard many horrer storys mostly about the pathfinders hitting a bump or a ditch too hard and completely falling apart cause of this. My pickup also has a lot of rust on the body ( saw a lot of miles in an area of PA. that sees a lot of snow) my mechanic says all of these problems are because nissan used cheap paint. Ive also heard the frame problems are cause because they didnt allow the proper holes for moisture and dirt to come out of the frame. Is this all true and do the 98-00 model nissan suvs and the frontier continue this trend?

The newer Nissans do a little better because there built in America. PA just uses to much salt on the roads and people do not use enough Ziebart services. That's commong from a guy in Texas who never sees rust except on cars driven down here from up north. Proper washing will keep rust away longer.
