Life has no real meaning. Do you ask why a plague spreads or why a fire burns?
All Life exists in order to evolve, the concepts of finding friendship or love were made by us, humans, however if we look deeper into the random chaos of the universe, we exist only because we were given the opportunity to, and we give ourselves the meaning to our lives. Our importance in the universe is the same as the bacteria found in Mars. We can only expect to live our lives the best way possible according to our possibilities and realize that even with the existence of a God to protect us or not we will disappear when the Chaos Lottery hits us.

The meaning of life is what you make of it. Enjoying your life, and living it to the fullest. There is no proof of an afterlife, why live it for something you're not sure exists? Some cultures believed the belief in an afterlife is based on the desire to be immortal to believe you would be around forever, and so they lived for the then and now, because they did not believe in it.

1) To gain a physical body and experience mortality
2) To learn and grow through the trials of our life
This is a very basic answer, of course. There is quite alot between the lines here. :-)

Life has no meaning. We are narrative animals and tend to try to find meaning in the random events of a lifetime, but in and of itself there is no meaning at all. Very often we can embue life with meaning by our actions, but that's something we do as a result of a decision.

The only universally acceptable meaning of life, that I know of, is self-improvement. And once you reach perfection, you have nothing more to do, and you spend the rest of your life wishing you weren't perfect because you're so bored.

I think that this life is but a blink of an eye compared to eternity. This life was meant to love and serve the Lord...and to this, means to see the Lord in everyone, and to love and serve them in the same way Christ did for us. I agree with you...I think we are all very unique and I think God meant for it to be that way. One body is made of many different parts. The hand needs the arm and the ear needs the mouth and so one. Together, we are all different, but we all make one. I think its important for us, in this life, to develop this uniqueness, and to use it as a gift from God, to help us to love and serve others.
God Bless

No one truly knows. There may not even be a meaning. The important thing is to live life, not worry over its meaning...
