He obviously values you less than he did 2 years ago. A lot of things could have changed. Perhaps the harsh reality is that you ARE of less value than previously, or than he then believed. Or maybe he made very unrealistic assessment of your value, which isn't your fault, buy would still explain a change in his valuation of you. Perhaps his values have changed; plenty of men marry a red hot babe only to later decide that what they really want is a good wife and mother -- or vice versa. Again, not your fault but beyond your control.
If there isn't some physical problem causing personality changes (endocrine problems, mental health issues, substance abuse, sleep disorders, etc) and he hasn't changed his social milleau to a set that has negatively influenced his behavior, then you may have to sever the relationship. In my fairly long life, I have seen people just make up their minds to be onery, be no-goods, be mean, whatever. Sometimes they snap out of it, and sometimes they don't.

drugs, stress, lack of attention, the on-set of puberty, wrong crowd, reason for big-headedness, reason for insecurity...
depends too if it's just the one person he's changed towards or everyone
if everyone then the top reasons true...if just the one person - jealousy or something that that person's done to anger him
men = strange
bloke i am seeing has these personality changes every month...am sure there's some type of period thing going on!
your next question should be how u deal with this person...
to start off, i'd try get an idea yourself from our answers and the, with a little preparation about how u think u should deal with the situation, ask him bout it.
try remid him of the nice times and see how he reacts too

Sounds like a symptom of narcissistic personality disorder. People with narcissistic issues will nice the hell out of you if you have something they want. Then, later, when they realize you aren't their becconning subject, willing to do what ever they ask of you, they discard you and curse as being a lower life form.

People with insecurity issues often model themselves after other people who them deem cool. I had a good friend turn into a thug once his cousin came to live in our city. He followed his every move all the way to jail. :(

Selfishness. When we think only of ourselves, our manners can go out the window and we can become rather ugly.
