Well I mean sodomy is all good and fun, but the reason the bible and other religious documents talk bad about sodomy is because it usually means that the sex is between two guys and not a guy and a girl. I don't think sodomy with ones wife would be a sin. It is talking more about the practice of homosexual behavior. I mean the bible does not condone homosexual behavior, and I mean in both men and women. =)

LOL, where in the world did you get that lame-brain explanation for why someone would want to make sodomy illegal (or at least socially unacceptable)? Sadly, I have heard someone say this before...but I knew the woman and lame-brain doesn't begin to cover it!
No, the desire to punish people for sodomy (be it by making them outcasts or by making it a jailable offense) stems from the ridiculous notion that God wants us to be the sin police. I think he made it pretty clear that we, for want of a better word, suck when it comes to enforcing his laws. As a Christian, I'm content to focus my energy on seeking God's will in my life and let him handle the rest of the world.

The reason sodomy is illegal is not because then we wouldn't procreate. I'm not actually sure why it's illegal. Not all forms of sodomy are looked down upon religiously though...only anal sex. Fellatio is acceptable as far as I can tell. And, yes, fellatio is a form of sodomy.

Because it's one of the few arguments they make against homosexuality that might sound remotely logical because they know if you take away religious arguments, there's no reason to ban homosexuality.
