major incident, peopel killed and suffering do you take the photos? ....................do you sell them to the press or give them to the police/fire for refrence?

yes i would unless i could help someone, if there was no one else about then preserving life is first, if the authorities are there i would shoot away,

i dont trust the police but do trust fireman, so the fire guys could have copies and the police if it helped the people concerned......more likely to give to lawyers than the police................police only use what helps them they arent impartial

I'm qualified in first aid (can even give an IV) so helping people would probably come first. To answer your question though, yes! The more "major" the incident, the more important the truth is..

I would take the photos because that's my area of expertise, I would stay out of the way of first responders. Of course I would give them to the police for reference, but I would not sign away my rights.

You help out however you can until the trained professionals arrive. Then you leave the life saving/helping to them and then get the shots and stay out of their way.

t's a news event, so, someone from the local media will be there eventually. Why not get some shots while you can?
