In most cases, unless the rent is cheaper, it is cheaper to live on campus. The on campus money would be included in your financial aid package. If you lived off campus, you would have to pay the rent, heat, electric, food, telephone, and commuting costs. If you had a roommate, it would be cheaper. Rents tend to be more expensive around college campuses. In addition, you would be paying rent for 12 months even if you did not attend summer sessions (if you lived off campus). it's usually cheaper to live off campus anywhere. universities usually charge way too much for dorms.
