I cannot afford to go to the vet but I am curious as to what it could be. It's getting better with me just wiping it clean with water, so I think it is clearing up, but like I said, I am curious what it is. Does anyone have any ideas?

My cat is 10 years old and male, so nope... not going into heat!

My cats get this sometimes. Some more than others. I think it has something to do with the dust in the air, or allergies. If the cat doesn't have a nasal drainage, or it's "3rd eyelid" isn't covering part of it's eyes, it's probably nothing serious. If either of these 2 things develop, get the cat to the vet ASAP. It could have an upper respiratory disease, and that can be VERY serious. Good luck and keep those eyes clean.
