True !
Where would man be without women ? ... still in the garden of Eden !
I think 1 Timothy 2-9:15 sums it up nicely , that should be enough motivation to become and Atheist we treat our women (more ) equally.
“9 I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. 11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.”

Somewhat true. I like how it goes on to say:
In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

I don't believe in that.
Men and women are different in many ways but equal.
That's just justifying oppression of women.
Outdated, illogical, insulting.

True.
Christ is the head of men because men are expected to be the one's who work for a living and as such are the one's who the church thrives upon, women are allowed to do this but are not subject to it by demand.
Women are supposed to be the dependents of their husband, father, or brother because they are the ones who bear children and women need more care during pregnancy and are unable to do hard work during pregnancy as well.

Deemed as true but utterly wrong.
However, most of the women I know I would never like to see in power. *Shudder*

That is just from an organizational point of view. It does not imply that woman and man are not equal.
