I have been actively trying to convert this Buddhist couple that I know for about a year now. I started off talking to them about the Gospel, and they didn't listen. Then I consulted "wayofthemaster.com" and tried their methods and it still hasn't worked.
When I was on "wayofthemaster.com" I saw a question about "Hellfire and Brimstone" preaching, and it said that so long as you are being true to the Gospel that is is okay to do "Hellfire and Brimstone" preaching.
I started telling this couple about the terror and wrath God will impose on them if they do not accept his son as their lord and saviour, but I think this just push them even farther away.
I don't understand how to convert these people. They are so peaceful and happy, and content with their lives and I am trying to warn them of the terrors of Hell once they die. They may think they are living a good life now, but God will show them whats what when they die.

First you must ask yourself, Why do you want to convert a Buddhist or anyone for that matter.? Why do you think you have all the answers?
God is for everyone. God loves all of his children equally.
You should get off the hellfire stuff and get on with loving God with all you heart, mind, body and soul. If thy eye be single thy whole body will be full of light. Listen what the spirit sayeth unto the churches. Listen to God. Listen.

GIVE UP!! I am NOT religious, but I have studied a few religions and Buddhism seems to be the best!! Buddhists are calm and peaceful people. Some Christians however can be delirious (ah em)
Why if god is so wonderful would he need to impose terror and wrath. It seems your god is not as nice as the Buddhists after all.

If they are living a peaceful & happy life, what is your problem white missionary girl? I personally don't care what is in that so called Holy book ( full of discrepancies, no logical points & only for the dummies). Worry about yourself that you are so not right in brainwashing others! Get a life!!! Anyway, you are going to Isalamic hell!!! By the way, I'm not Buddhist.

Buddhists are the most loving, peaceful people in the world, and you want to convert them to a religion with a history of wars, torture and forced conversions. I guess you're showing that side of Christianity to them. I hope they end up converting you.

rotflmao! You can't convert a buddhist, dear! More likely for you to realize that they are the ones with spiritual security and how silly christianity is. Rather than trying to convert them, perhaps you should try learning about buddhism, you may be surprised and comforted by what you discover!
Good luck!

.Are you serious? Shouldn't this be posted in the "Jokes and Riddles" section? The only reason you want to convert someone to something is to make YOU feel better. You aren't taking their feelings into consideration at all. No. This is about what YOU want, not what they want, not what God wants, not what anybody else wants. What YOU want. Why do you want that?

I've have smacked you with your bible and barred you from my house a long time ago. How about you just leave them alone and let them live. They obviously aren't interested in your snake oil. If they are such happy and peaceful people, any God who would send them to hell is a terrible God and should be scorned, not worshipped.
I find your condescending fundamental Christian attitude nauseating.

Sorry, you have no reason to impose your beliefs on, as you say "peaceful and happy, and content" people. They believe their path is what brings them salvation. THey don't believe in heaven and hell, but that your actions in life can have good and bad consequences until one is self-realized.
Let everyone be well and happy.

Well first of all, Buddhism is supposed to originally be a philosophy thought up by a guy named Buddha. and good luck trying to convert that person.

You need to bring them proof that Hell exists. But since there is no such proof, you should just leave them alone in their peaceful and happy life.
