I currently have Windows XP and I am looking to try Kubuntu and Beryl, but I want to keep Windows at the same time. I know I have to divide my hard drive or something so that when my computer turns on I have the choice of using Kubuntu or Windows. How do I do this? Also, where can I get Kubuntu and Beryl, and is there any programs/games that don't work with Kubuntu. Also, when I divide my hard drive will I loose any saved files that I currently have with Windows? Also, when I divide my hard drive, does this mean I will only have half the space with Windows and half the space with Kubuntu? And if I decide I don't like Kubuntu, is it possible to "undivide" my hard drive and change back to just Windows? I know Kubuntu is different than Windows in the sense that you have to manually install things, could you please give me some tips as to how to do this and on anything else I should know.

To answer your question, I Googled for:

XP Kubuntu "dual boot video"

Here's an example video, but there were lots of hits.

Hope this helps.

Everything you need to know is at this link. The recommended way to dual boot is to get another hard disk so you don't have to mess up your Windows disk and everything will be safe.

The whole idea of Kubuntu and the Ubuntu family is that most of the stuff you need will be installed for you automatically. You won't have very much left to do after the install.

What you should also know is that 100% of your Windows games WILL NOT WORK in Ubuntu. It is entirely incompatible with Windows.
