That's way too much - when are you going to do your homework, or have some free time or time to socialize?

The employer probably wouldn't schedule you ALL of those hours though, but will have plenty to choose from.

Somewhere around 20 hours a week, 25 at most, is probably enough.

They won't schedule you for all hours that you put down. You are 16 - a minor. They have state laws that limit the hours you can work, and they don't want to get in trouble for violating that. I would tell them 16-20 hours a week. No more unless you don't do homework or are taking REALLY easy classes. (I don't know what the maximum number of hours is that 16 year olds can work either - it could be about that anyway.)

Start with 20 hours a week and no more for now. You have school to think about. If you wish to work weekends...still stick the the 20 hours...you need to have some fun. Most employers will stick with the hours you request. If they need you other hours...they will ask you or you could tell them...if you need me other hours please ask me and i will see what i can do. I am a hard worker.

You should have got a work permit from school, they have rules on how many hours you can work. You need to do your homework and have time for some school activities.
