to that people that think that givin drivers liscenes to illegals is wrong and bad. in oregon and washington illegals are gettin drivers liscences; there have been no fruad claims against any illegal , the crime rate hasnt gone up, we rarely hear of an illegal killin somebody in a d.u.i charge, illegals are usually hsipanic; hispanics have no interest in caring out any terrorist attack, the people that hijacked the planes on 9/11 were u.s citizens, in oregon the leadin cause of fraud is from meth users that are 95% of the time u.s citizens . so why dont we stop thinking about the ILLEGALS that are 30,40,50, but think about the illegal that is 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20. does the 5 year old that is illegal now, we'll be in illegal in 10 years, that illegal 15yrd old wont be able to get his permit EVER, because HE may get a gun, HE may hijack some planes, HE will use it for crimminal activities. what do you say to that 5yrld if he was in front of you? what are your views?

Of course my friend what you are saying is completely right!! What do you say to a 18 year old who wants to get his license but has no idea he's ilegal or what will you say to a boy whos been raised here all his life and he's looking for a job but can't because he was brought to the United States because it is the land of opportunity. It's not his fault for being here, his parents are striving to get a better life for him and he's suffering the consequences when he's 18 because it makes it seem that he doesn't belong here. It's crazy how their is so much racism going on here. But Hispanics will get through it because without us it just won't be the same...

In America, laws cannot be made to discriminate based on race, so any law that allowed 'nice' illegals from whatever country you think never produces terrorists would also allow would-be terrorists to get liscences, too. It's true that most people aren't violent criminals - even most people who break the law every single day aren't /violent/ about it. That doesn't mean that thier non-violent crimes should be condoned.

The problem with granting illegals liscences - or anything else - is that it's de-facto Amnesty.

Before you ask yourself if illegals are or aren't a threat or do or don't deserve this or that service or privillega - first ask yourself "should they be here?" The answer is always, "no, they are here illegally." That's as far as it needs to go.

All I'm saying is that, if they get a drivers license, they should be able to read and speak our language, as well as insure their vehicle. There was an article in Readers Digest a few months ago about people who cannot even speak the English language (not only Hispanics, but other immigrants as well) obtaining their CDLs somehow and killing other motorists because they could not read the road signs, but were driving tractor trailers. Also, as an American, I have to insure my vehicle and my minor daughter has to insure hers. There have been many vehicle accidents in which an alien (illegal or not) has been driving an uninsured vehicle and hit someone else. No charges are filed because they have to have a group of illegal aliens in order to send them back, the injured never collect, and our insurance rates go up.

Illegals are illegal. Why reward someone with a drivers license for illegally entering the country in the first place? As for DUI accidents and fatalities try coming to Southern California particularly Los Angeles county and say that.

Fully 90% of the DUI related accidents you read about in the paper envolve Spanish surnamed individuals. I can think of a local business that had vehicles crash into it twice in the last 5 years, both cases envolved drunk drivers being chased by the cops, each case involved an illegal alien.

Your stats are ALL wrong. Since proof of citizenship is not required in states, of course they will register with the "motor voter." What's another crime for these criminals.

Fraud has been proven when illegals get DLs. It has been proven that illegals have voted! Crime & drugs have increased dramatically with the rise in the number of illegal alien criminals. We hear about drunk illegals killing Americans DAILY. The hijackers were NOT citizens.

Also, a DL is a legal document. If the illegal alien criminals get a DL that legitimizes the fact that they are here. It will NOT make the roads safer. It will NOT make the illegals get insurance, thus reducing costs. If a 16 year old illegal can't get a DL BECAUSE he's illegal, SO WHAT?! How is that my problem. The illegal alien criminals are the ones that broke the law, not me.

No DL for illegals. No amnesty. Crack down on employers so all 30+ million illegal alien criminals, and their families, will self deport!

Illegal means you are breaking the law which then means providing them with more services equates in my book to aiding and abetting a criminal which is what you are when you are breaking the law.
A license opens the door to many other issues that are problematic. Furthermore if you can find them to provide ID you can also send them home for their own countries to raise and feed and cloth them. If you took the masses and flexed some muscleand they spent more of their time building their home country , it would be surpising how nice it could be.

Actually... Illegal Aliens have committed all the crimes you cite BEFORE the question of giving them a Drivers License was brought up. And... they continue to do the same. Excepting the Terrorist acts... I'm not aware of any of these.

That being said, not all of Illegal aliens are committing crimes or causing problems.

That being said, if they are here Illegally, they are breaking US laws by default.

Before we enhance their status with Drivers Licenses, perhaps we should visit the question of how Americans are treated in Mexico. It's much worse than Illegal aliens (from all nations) are treated here.

NONE of that matters. The FACTS are, what they did is illegal! The FACTS are they drive up our medical insurance and hospitals are closing. The FACTS are, if we don't secure the boarder, terrorists will be coming in. As a matter of fact, they ARE coming in. There are thousands of people trying to do it the legal way.
