Do they need religion to keep them in line? If there were no religion the ignorists would run around and commit horrible crimes against humanity as did their religious forefathers?

Is the purpose of religion to keep us atheists safe from willful ignorants?

No Atheist wars ever plagued humanity, only religious wars. You pick.

Ask the leaders of the former Soviet Union. They abolished "religion," making man his own "god." It required the efforts of a vast police-state to keep the people in line. Fear of the Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (KGB) was the big motivator.

Yet, after 70 or so years of a godless regime, communism fell in Eastern Europe, and much of the responsibility for that points to the underground church within.

"The purpose of religion is to herd the sheep. Nothing more."

How do you propose to "herd" a Christian......do you think we will ever stop pointing out sin???

Are we "herded" when we oppose abortion, or immorality????

The fact is Christians Stand!!!!

We stand for the true rightousness of God, and make the world shake when we point out its sin......

No we won't fight you, we give unto ceasar......but we do stand, and down through history, when we do not compromise on our beliefs......the only place we are "herded" is to our execution.

It would appear Christians and Jews are the least "herded" bunch around.

The Christian religion is trying to snatch you out of the flames of hell by teaching you the gospel of Christ.
