He told me he loved her before we started going out. Even after we went out he was still chatting with her and messaging her. He never confronted her about his feelings, but he has written poetry about her etc..etc.. On her birthday I saw that he left her a comment on Facebook saying how much he wishes he was with her and it killed me because on that day he was with me. We have only been going out for a little over a month. He is absolutely perfect in every other way and he cares about me, and I am with him because I have hope that one day he may love me the way he loves her...the way I love him.

This situation is familiar to me. One: if he loved her why would he still be with you-- if hes telling her he wants to be with her either A : he's being stupid and will realize it later because thats how guys work or B: he really does want that and is being unfair to you.
Either way you need to put your foot down but what it comes down to is do you really love him, and does he really love you.
He could realize he is being stupid now but don't allow yourself to be treated any less than how you should be. If you really do love him talk to him and I hope everything works out the way you hope. One things for sure, at least you'll know the truth. Because if he feels the same he will realize it soon enough but you have to confront him.

You need to let him know how you feel...if you put all you have into the relationship and you continue to feel as if he is working harder for the love of someone else...it could turn out to be very damaging to you emotionally...I'd say that you need to talk to him about how you feel and tell him that he needs to be putting more time into your relationship than one that never even happened...if he doesn't agree to...i'm sorry to say but he may not be the "one" for you...

He is in love with a person he has never met? Tell him that you are here with him, not her and he has to choose. If after talkign to her for 3 years, why is he not now with her. It is time for him to decide. He is having an emotional affair with this other person. You deserve to have him completly and if he is not willing to give that to you, then you must give him an ultimatum and stand by what you say.

Until he takes care of this other woman, you will never have him 100% and that is something you need to make a relationship work. Sure he cares for you, did you ever think that maybe you remind him of her, and he is thinking about her when he is with you. It is up to you if you want to share this man with a this person. Maybe she doesn't want him, and this is only what he wants.

Short answer........get out of that relationship as soon as you can. Be thankful too that you've discovered the "rat" before it went any further. Some unlucky young people are a couple of years and kids into a marriage before they find out the nature of their significant other.

Break up with him! Never waste your time with a man who is in love with another woman. You shouldn't have to fight/struggle like that to be loved. Find another man, I'm sure there are plenty others out there who are more honest and loyal and devoted to YOU than this boyfriend is.

I am in the EXACT same situation... :( I saw texts from this girl on his phone and it killed me to know he's still in contact with her.. and i don't know what to do.
i dont want to say to him that he can't talk to her anymore, because i dont want to sound controling... but i just dont know what to do.
