I'm trying to get a tattoo and I came across this scripture. What do you think it means? I recently lost my father and I am going through a lot of other things. Would that scripture be good for that?

The bible does not offer any solice for the dead unless you believe he was a christian. When I lost my father, I didnt leave my house for four months, just thinking and writing music, meditating, and looking for answers where ever i could find them.

I eventually had a crisis of faith about two years later and had to completely re evaluate my life. I dropped out of a religious college (that was giving me TONS of money for music scholarships) and decided I was going to explore some other options.

I have read the entire bible extensively and can say that there is nothing there to offer comfort for this kind of problem. I wish there was something in there that would help people through the death of a loved one, but death is a difficult thing to handle in western culture.

As far as getting a tatoo, just get something meaningful to you and dont worry about what the church thinks, they are not any closer to god than you can be on your own. I will meditate for you tonight. Best of luck through a hard time.

Yes, this Scripture is good for anyone that just lost a parent.
Mother and father can leave us for many reasons and even death, but Christ will never leave us. The Lord promises that He will never leave us or forsake us. We can trust the Lord.

I'm more of a Proverbs 27:17 guy. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. I also like to write it:
Twenty 7:7 Teen. Sorry about your loss. I presume your dad was a mighty man of God. How cool is it that you two will meet again in Eternity! Stay strong!

Isaiah refers to God.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

The truth is that this scripture should be comforting to you.
Those who love and seek God's truth receve a gift of faith and through faith revelation from God and a personal relationship with God.
This relationship will help you in understanding and being confident in God knowing that he has a plan for us.

What must you do to inherit true peace? True peace can come only in God’s way, and to gain it you must take positive steps. You must accept the Prince of Peace and turn to him. This means that you must accept Christ in his role as Redeemer and Ransomer of sinful humankind. Jesus himself said the famous words: “God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Are you willing to exercise faith in Christ Jesus as God’s Agent for bringing in true peace and salvation? There is no other name under heaven that can establish peace and guarantee it. (Philippians 2:8-11) Why? Because Jesus is God’s Chosen One. He is the greatest messenger of peace ever to walk the earth. Will you listen to Jesus and follow his example?
“This means everlasting life,” said Jesus, “their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) Now is the time to take in accurate knowledge by regularly attending the meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall. These educational meetings will motivate you to share your knowledge and your hope with others. You too can become an envoy for God’s peace. You can enjoy peace now by trusting in Jehovah God, as stated at Isaiah 26:3, according to the New International Version: “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” In whom should you trust? “Trust in Jehovah, you people, for all times, for in Jah Jehovah is the Rock of times indefinite.”—Isaiah 26:4.

you have presented the incorrect verse in Isaiah. Isaiah 5:a million reads as follows: a million "Now will I sing to my properly cherished a song of my cherished touching his winery. My properly cherished hath a winery in an exceedingly fruitful hill" Isaiah 5:18 reads as follows: 18 "Woe to those who drag iniquity with cords of falsehood, and sin as though with cart ropes"(New American common Bible). 18 "Woe to those who draw sin alongside with cords of deceit, and wickedness as with cart ropes"(New worldwide Bible). "people who pull..........." are are evil God-hating human beings. they are as stable as ineffective because of the fact their spirits are ineffective from the 2d of their beginning and that they are going to go through the 2d death at God's super White Throne Judgment and could be thrown into eternal hell. "Cords.............." the cords characterize the evil deeds of those people who're continuously being observed by making use of evil like ever modern shadows. "Pull sin............" potential genuinely comparable to "cords" different than that's stated in a much extra harsh language demonstrating God's intense hatred, no longer of them, yet of their sins.
