And what happens to these never to be born souls, do they go straight to heaven without facing any of the **** of the world, or are they not souls till they are born?

Success would never be as gratifying without the possibility of failure. If you know when you set out on a venture that it is bound to work out well, where's the challenge? I feel I need to be careful how much I tell you, even though I have nothing but good news to share. Still, though, if you hear it and believe it, where will be your motivation? And, how will you live without the dramatic tension of uncertainty? Don't be too eager to dispel all doubt. A little mystery may yet give rise to a lot of magic.

The soul is that immaterial thing that makes a lump of flesh into a human being, so there is a soul as soon as there is a human being.

For the Catholic Church and many other Christian churches, which think that human life begins at conception, this means that as soon as you have a fertilized egg, there is a person with a soul.

Catholic doctrine says that, although the miscarried child never had a chance to receive baptism for the cleansing of original sin, we know that God loves that tiny human being and wants nothing but the best for them. For that reason, we have every reason to hope that miscarried babies will be in heaven.

As for God's purpose, well, we don't know. That we live in a fallen world means that our world is one in which suffering contrary to the will of God occurs. We don't know why God lets miscarriages happen, but we know that he does not will them.

Death - including miscarriages - is the final enemy to be put under the feet of Christ. We hope, therefore, to embrace our miscarried children at Christ's return and the resurrection fo the dead.

May God grant you peace.

The soul does not enter the body of a baby until after it has been born, when it has awareness. There would be no point in being there any earlier.

If a pregnancy miscarriages, it is probably because there is something physically wrong with the fetus, with the circumstances it will be born into, or something to do with the karma of the parents.

The reason for miscarriages is because the sperm doesnt match the egg. If there were no such thing as misscarriages, babies would be born with all kinds of dissabilities and make many lives more difficult. Babies are still born with dissabilities but maybe it is just God's way of saying that you might not be able to cope with a disabled child. I don't know really, but remember that everything happens for a reason

I believe the soul is present when life begins. The innocent child would go straight to heaven, where it's soul will live in peace.
Why God allows this, no one can say or understand.

At conception a soul is created and some of us do know.As for the idiot who talked about flukes you obviously aren't a mother and if you are have not lost a baby and don't empathise.
The Devil has a part to play in snatching the creation of God too.
God created conception and mankind and i know for a fact that any miscarried child including mine has a happy perfect life as an angel in the Kingdom of heaven.Who knows , maybe the developing embryo could have been deformed in some way.I thank God for sparing me that pain at least.
God's ways are mysterious, but His ways are higher than ours and if we allow Him, we don't have to live as tortured souls.

God doesn't cause miscarriages. If He allows them to happen, He has His reasons for doing so. The human spirit probably never enters the fetus.

No two persons are the same and no two conditions are the same so there must be cases when something goes wrong with a person or a birth or any other human experience or condition. It is nothing to do with and sort of god and you very question shows what nonsense of some sort of personal god is

What is natures purpose with allowing babies to be born with severe birth defects? What is science purpose with keeping these infants alive, when they will not develop into productive members of society and be burden on their families?

God never intended miscarriages. When he made the world it was perfect but man and woman sinned and as a result death entered the universe. This is why we have things like miscarriage, illness and pain.
Any baby dying whether born or in the womb goes directly to Heaven to be with God. I have one there already.
