I opened a office 2003 powerpoint on a 97' office powerpoint @ school. When i got home i tried to open it again on 2003 ofice, it says it cannot read the file. Is there a program that i can use to convert i back into a 2003 office or something to get it to open?

I have a trial 2007 it opens on 2007 but my trial for some reason does not let me do nothing on the programs, so all i can do is watch the slideshow.

I had the same problem. What I did was go on GoogleDocs. It can do the same things as Powerpoint. You have to make an account though, but it's really worth it

You usually have to activate the trial, a box pops up when you open it, to be able to do anything. And as far as the 97 office powerpoint, open it from the original 2003 powerpoint-- if that is not possible look at the Save as option on the 97, compare it with the 2003 and save it in the format that both can use.

You could also download PowerPoint 2003 Viewer that will play it correctly. It's free from the Microsoft website, but you can't edit the show.

Hi,

Have you run all of the program updates for Office 2003? If your copy of Office has not been updated it could cause a problem like this.
