for the Lord? I mean why worry about things like "you dont HAVE to go to Church" when you should be thinking about how much you can do for the Lord and what a priviledge it is to want to go to Church.

In other words why be happy with a bare minimum of worship---why not turn out for ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES and incense too with the Catholic Mass?

Worship is for God and He deserves it. We can do nothing for God without Him.

All of us could do better job helping others.

Nobody should go to church or serve the Lord by obligation, but out of a deep desire to do so. Otherwise, why do it? It's not going to make God happy if we'd rather not do it. He sees our heart. I see it as an honor and a huge privilege to be able to worship God with others who believe what I believe, and learn more about God. The Bible says faith without works is dead, so I should be doing more. This is a good week for that because of the program BEAUTIFUL DAY. God bless you and those who read this.

I am a Christian, and I spend time on the things that I like to do. However, I don't see this as any kind of problem because the things I like to do are things that God has asked us to do as followers of him.

Actually, since I was born of the Spirit over 30 years ago, I have found that God has progressively worked in me to want to do the things I should do.
This is just what the Bible says:

"for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. "
Philippians 2:13

Just love Him and His Son with all your heart. Be involved with your church and spread His word. Follow the bible. I have found peace in this.
