Or do you have other friends...... and your partner is just your partner?

I knew my wife a long time before we started dating, and I always liked her as a friend before I had any romantic notions.

Our relationship grew independently of our affection towards each other - she is firmly my closest and best friend. I never dated anyone I could totally be myself with until her and she knew most of the best and worst of me before we first kissed.

In my case, I could not imagine being married to anyone who *wasn't* my best friend, but that's just me.

my partner is my best friend however, I have always kept my girlie friends - they have always been very important to me - some of them I have known for 20 years or so and we have shared a lot of experiences. Whilst the old man will listen - men have a limit - only women can thrash things out for hours and days if necessary without shouting a you or getting impatient!

No, my partner is my best friend. He has been almost from the moment we started liking each other.
I think its the best kind of relationship when your partner is your best friend as well as your lover.

Oh yes, and some. It goes deeper than that as well.

I do have other very close friends, but none other has that level of unconditional love and trust that my partner does.

Yes, my partner is my best friend.
I have other close friends but it's nice to know you can go home to your best friend and your lover at the same time!

Absolutely !! My wife is my best friend. We are together much of the time even though we both pursue our interests. We like travel, vacations, visits with our family. We are interested in one anothers activities and relish the accomplishments of the other. We enjoy the "we" lifeand seldom , if ever, refer to 'I' or "Me".
