Leapster!!! They are AWESOME educational toys. I bought two for my kids a couple of years ago & they LOVE them & it's cool because you can buy age appropriate software!

Any leapster or v-tec toy.

Personally speaking, my kids loved the box of blocks that you get from the Early Learning Centre. Health Visitor said it was a great toy as it helps with motor skills and they can learn colours etc from it!

They have a Little People Nativity Set! How cool would that be. Honestly, the toys that talk and "teach" children alphabet, etc. really do not help them learn. It is better for you to play with the child, they learn more from that then talking toys, and "educational" videos.

The Leap Frog alphabet set. We have one... it comes with upper and lowercase letters, and also a magnetic thing that you put the letters in - when you press the letter, it sings a song about each letter, so they hear the sound each letter makes. Its great!

Its rather inexpensive for something that will last and teach! My 14 month old daughter plays with it all the time.
