Even though we look forward to the end of all wickedness as well as the paradise and all the blessings that will follow...Who of us will ever really be ready for that day?
I love the points from the book 'Live with Jehovah's Day in Mind' on page 38 under the subheading 'Prove Yourselves Ready' it has some thought provoking points. I just hope that Jehovah finds me doing what he wants me to be doing.

It is good to be found earnestly seeking God as his day approaches, and I am putting forth effort in that direction.
As conditions continue to deteriorate, the pressures increase.
We are living in very troubling times, but in return we are favoured with the prospect of seeing the day when Jehovah magnifies himself before all creation.
However, the day of Jehovah is not something to be desired lightly.
During Jehovah's day:
- Our endurance will be tested to the limit as conditions reach breaking point.
- We will need to exercise deep faith and endurance so that we are not overwhelmed by the fearful things that will happen around us and the united hostility of the political elements.
- In a sense, We will be deeply saddened to see the majority of earth's inhabitants destroyed as wicked opposers of God's purpose.
So, it will be a day of distress, even for faithful ones.
(Matthew 24:22) In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.
(Amos 5:18,19) Woe to those who are craving the day of Jehovah! What, then, will the day of Jehovah mean to YOU people? It will be darkness, and no light.
We need to wait patiently, using the time available to make sure it will mean "light" to us, and not "darkness".
We are also happy that each day affords more people the opportunity to begin seeking Jehovah, before the day arrives.
All things considered, I long for the day when the most fundamental truth will be made manifest, to the chagrin of all those who do all they can to deny it:
Jehovah is the rightful sovereign of the universe, from time indefinite to time indefinite.
(Ezekiel 36:23) And I shall certainly sanctify my great name, which was being profaned among the nations, which YOU profaned in the midst of them; and the nations will have to know that I am Jehovah,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘when I am sanctified among YOU before their eyes.

According to Amos 9:9, the people who are called by God's name are those who become such after the sifting takes place. The sifting is when Jehovah rocks all the nations during the oncoming tribulation.
The prophecy of Joel similarly foretells of a great earth-wide catastrophe, where we read: "And I will give portents in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun itself will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah."
Our faith in the saving power of the name of Jehovah will become paramount at that time, as the survivors of the oncoming holocaust will be those who call upon the name of Jehovah.
"And it must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will get away safe; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will prove to be the escaped ones, just as Jehovah has said, and in among the survivors, whom Jehovah is calling."
The prophecy of Malachi likewise foretells how a distinction will be made between the righteous and the wicked; emphasizing the importance of the name of Jehovah in our salvation:
Malachi 3:16 "At that time those in fear of Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance began to be written up before him for those in fear of Jehovah and for those THINKING UPON HIS NAME."
"And they will certainly become mine," Jehovah of armies has said, "at the day when I am producing a special property. And I will show compassion upon them, just as a man shows compassion upon his son who is serving him. And you people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him."
Let the reader take note of the fact that the prophecy indicates that those who fear the name of Jehovah and who are "thinking upon his name" become the "special property" of Jehovah at that time.
When does that occur?
The very next verse in Malachi indicates that Jehovah produces a special property composed of those who fear his name 'during' the tribulation.
Malachi 4:1 reads: "For, look! the day is coming that is burning like the furnace, and all the presumptuous ones and all those doing wickedness must become as stubble. And the day that is coming will certainly devour them," Jehovah of armies has said, "so that it will not leave to them either root or bough. And to you who are in fear of my name the sun of righteousness will certainly shine forth, with healing in its wings; and you will actually go forth and paw the ground like fattened calves."

Probably.
(Zephaniah 2:3) Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.
While godly persons understand faith to be the primary thing for a Christian, they also understand that professed "faith" is not a license for a sinner to continue to indulge his sin.
(Matthew 7:20-23) Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize... “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.
One's faith must have SOME effect on the individual's personality and lifecourse. The Scriptures quite plainly explain that humans can disqualify themselves from receiving everlasting life; it is only the faithful COMPLETION of a life course that assures salvation. [Emphasis added to citations below.]
(Zephaniah 2:3) Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. PROBABLY you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger.
(Amos 5:15) Hate what is bad, and love what is good, and give justice a place in the gate. It MAY be that Jehovah the God of armies will show favor
(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured TO THE END is the one that will be saved.
(Philippians 2:12) Keep WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling
(Hebrews 10:26-27) For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment
(Hebrews 5:9) [Jesus] became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those OBEYING him
(James 2:14,17) Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? ...17 Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.
