I had a pekingese and she died today,, and wat i am wonderin is why. Well this mornin she started makin a loud scream every 30 or so seconds and then she started not bein able to walk at all then just died 15 min later. SHe was breathin really hard. As far as I knew she was healthy , I gave her her heartworm pills every month and took her to the vet regularly,, she was only 5 and they usually live between 10 to 15 yrs. Could she have had an heart attack?

sorry for your loss. it sounds like she mightve burst a major blood vessel. did she slowly go weaker then seem to almost go to sleep? the good thing if it was this that there was little suffering involved beforehand. a dog i knew died of the same thing and it was because he had a tumor on his kidney that had alot of blood vessels going through it and one day it burst. a heart attack isnt usauly as quick as that so it sounds alot like an internal injury or other sort of blood loss.

it sounds like her heart gave out. im really sorry.it is possible that she had this problem all her life and didn't show any signs.my daughter had a cat like this, he was only around 5 and he did the same thing, the vet seen him just before he passed and said he had a heart attack and it was probably genetic and just started acting up and boom the heart just couldn't that the strain.it is so hard to loose your pet and even more when they are young.my heart goes out to you take care.

I suggest having a necropsy done. I am sorry for your loss! You should contact the breeder to see if anything like this has ever happened in their line.

Sorry to hear about your loss...
Sounds like the dog was in pain... it's hard to tell.
Someone feed it poison?
I don't know about heart attacks.
Was it acting normal these past few days?
Did it eat, pee and poop regularly?

I'm thinking poison also - or bowel obstruction - obstructions can be caused from hair ties, toys, bones, etc.
Did you have her evaluated by a vet?
I'm so sorry for your loss.

The only way you will know is by taking her in and having an autopsly/necropsy done.
