Yes. But to avoid feeling the gap in the middle, they sell a 'T' shaped pad you can put between the 2 twin matresses before putting the sheet on.

I believe it can be done. The box spring for a regular king size bed is two twin box springs anyway. I've done it before, put king sheets on two twins next to eachother. It might also depend on the mattress too. Give it a try, it might work for you!

Your should be able to depending on the length of your twin beds and the type of king sheets. Twin x-longs are 80" while standard twins are only 75." Standard king sheets should fit on two twin x-longs.
California king sheets won't fit, however, as they are longer (84") and narrower than standard kings.

a king is five foot i suspect you would need a super king for a better fit
