There is many made u lock on the market , Guard , Planet bike , Trek , Masterlock ..... All the lock manufacturer have good and bad quality locks . You can get what you pay for . What is wrong whit Masterlock or Guard U lock , I never hear that somebody use pencil to opened . What you need is good quality Guard or Masterlock U lock for $40 . It have pick resistant lock and hardened shackle . There is also waranty worth it every penny .
