I know what the mom and dad are... (they're both the same breed). But, I'm not sure the puppies look like that breed. So, I'm wondering if my dog got out sometime and just came back or what?

it's way too young to tell, they need to be many weeks older before you can tell what they are going to look like. let their features come in and let them grow a little.

How old is the pup in the pic? It's hard to tell that young but some more details about the mom might help? Is it possilbe she got out and bred with a different dog or another dog in addition (same litter can have more than one dad)?
Also with some breeds they are born mostly black or white and develope full color later.....

They look similar to some terrier puppies I saw earlier this year, except their little noses are longer.
Don't worry about their colouring. Most pups aren't born with the colouring they'll have as adults. My favourite of the litter of terriers had the most beautiful sable coat. After 8 weeks, her coat was a lovely copper red.

Cute little pup, but its way to little to tell right now. If the parents are the same breed then that's what the pup is.

You can't tell at that young! What were the parents? Put together their breeds.
But it looks like,at that age, an American Bulldog

its to hard to tell at that age. i mean look at this. here is a picture of a purebred border collie puppy

the point is that it is difficult to tell if not impossible. ask again in a few weeks when they r older but chances r that if the female only had access to that one male then they r purebred pups
