I recommend not walking them. It would not be good for them and they might get severely sick. If you have a backyard, take them out for periods of time under 15 minutes twice a day. That worked very well with my kittens. Another good idea is to put them in a wagon or a screen pull thing on a bike to give them fresh air and a taste of the outdoors but not tire them out. Once they taste the outside air and get use to it they will want to go out all of the time and especially at night. They will start crying and then you won't be able to stand it nor take the time to be outside with them. One day they will go out on the road and will get hit. Cats are cats and don't know any better. They never know what they miss by remaining to be indoor cats. They have learned their boundries. We have a dog kennel that is just outside the back of our house with a pet door from the window into it. That is their outdoor haven. I love my pets and want them to be safe. We have 6 indoor cats now. Oh, and we have tried the leash thing in the past, but never worked out for us.

I also have 2 indoor cats, aged 1 1/2yrs & 8 months, I can not understand why you would want to take them for a walk as you will only get them used to going outside. They are either indoor cats or they are not, you will only confuse them that way.
I live on a VERY busy road and that's why mine stay in or they would not last 5 mins near the road.
Try not to confuse them and just keep them in. xx

The most important thing is to keep them safe.
Up to date shots are a must

Identification tags and being leashed trained should be in place before going outside

If I had two cats and lived on a busy street, I would think twice about taking them outside.

If they show no inclination to go outside, don't get them interested. We have one cat that likes to go for a walk. We have him on a leash and he goes out once a day, around the yard, up and down the street a bit and that's all. We live on a dead end however. If he hears a noise, he beats feet for the house. I would be afraid to try it on a busy street. Do you have a porch that would be safe for them to sit on while in a cage? We also have a large cage with tiers in it with shelves that 2 of the cats like to go out and sit in. We put them in the back yard where we can watch them. We cover the top and one side so they are not directly in the sun. They love it. Even in the winter, as long as it's nice out.

You can try using a cat leash and they may or may not get used to it.It's not a good idea to let cats roam on their own these days anyway besides getting hit by a car thay can get torn apart by a dog, poisoned by a cat hateing neighbor or sick.Since they are so young I would try a cat leash or try looking for a cat harness that would even be better if they make them for cats.I have a dog
and I take her for a walk with a dog harness so she doesn't
have anything around her neck to choke her.

If they go outside they will think it's normal. Indoor cats are safer and happier. If you want something, get something that will stay on the leash like a daushund. They can go outside and not get lost. Our 2 get along with our 6 year old cat famously. They all play together. I would hate it if your cat ran out when you open the door. They usually can't find their way home like a dog. Get a springy furry pole and a cat house. They'll be in heaven.

If they will go with you, go for it! I have owned five different cats over the last 30 years or so and only one of them would go on a leash and go for a walk. It usually only lasted a few blocks and then he wanted to go home.

My cat has been an indoor cat for many years, so it might be different with your kittens, but he is petrified of cars and whenever he wanders out side he runs and hides under our deck. But I guess it depends on how your cat reacts to the business of you road.

Unlike dogs, cats are not exactly prime candidates for being walked. They are very independent creatures. Once introduced to the outdoors they tend to want to go out more and more often. the life expectancy of outdoor cats is significantly shorter than indoor ones. If you love your cats i would keep them indoors. There are too many dangers.
