when parents told me. However I know what you are getting at- you are trying to say Jesus does not exist either- however if you knew Him personally like I do, you would know that He exists- and besides what is the translation of the name CHRISTMAS? Christ's birth. Jesus is the real meaning of Christmas.

My mom always told me that Santa wasn't real. My mother was raised roman catholic and lived in a catholic boarding house until graduation.
When my brother and I were younger, we would circle the items in the sales paper's toy section. That is what my parents used as a Christmas list. We were told that Santa Claus was based on St. Nicholas.

My mom told me.
I need to mention that I dropped Santa when I was six. I asked Jesus to be my Lord when I was 14. I originally wanted Santa to be real. I originally didn't want anything to do with God. Kind of the the reverse situation, so believing in Santa is not the same as believing in Jesus for me.

who says santa is not real? ;-) cruel question. one never knows when youngsters will venture into this venue. I was 9 when I came to the realization that santa may not be leaving me presents each year. oh woe is me. my heartbreak, my disappointment, my disillusionment----BUT when I was a child I thought as a child, I acted as a child, I believed childish things---but now that I am grown----I am not easily convinced of things that people say in R&S against something I know is true. :-) JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!!!

My parents, being Christians, obeyed the Bible and never lied to me. So I never believed in a Santa Claus. I knew my parents gave me presents all during the year. Because they never lied to me, I trusted them.
I wonder how other kids can trust parents once they found they lied about so many things. They must wonder what else they lied about.
