you guys were on the phone for 6 LONG HOURS! how can you be on the phone for 6 hours? the longest someone that i know that is on the phone is maybe an hour or 2. i have the one friend from my first college and were several states away (me in new jersey and him in virginia). we don't talk on the phone much but when we do, it's no longer than 2 hours....we haven't seen each other in 5 years.
get a life and stay off the phone for 6 hours.....like some one said, he's probably mad that you're not in his 5....

No telling if you were not fighting, but not saying I love you when you usually do definately means something is wrong. Call him back and find out! Maybe he was just getting annoyed with you because you were on the phone for so long. Guys are not really phone people. Or maybe the cell phone signal went out lol who knows, sure shot to call him and ask.

Guys always say how complicated we females are. lol
But the the truth is they are as complicated as we are . When they are quiet best thing to do is wait for the right time to ask questions? They not as open about feelings about us females. The way it works for me is this. I don't ask or say anything just a " I love you" and leave it there , Next when you two get together romantically speaking talk to him but remember about not making it sound like you are not accusing or make him feel like you are a detective interrogating him. Just make sure you let him know how important he is to you and how much you love him. Communications is the key for any relationship.
Good luck!

you were on the phone for 6 hours, and he said, I gotta go - I have to hang up now. Was it the way he said it, cause the way I read it's like - man I am tired, I am gonna go. CALM DOWN!!!!!!!!!! Relax, and when you talk to him next just tell him that he kind of freaked you out when he got off the phone last time. Is everything okay? If he says yeah, then fine. It's hard not to jump to conclusions, but you have to control yourself a little bit.

I dont see that you did anything wrong. Maybe he got frustrated and instead of yelling at you or attempting to spark a fight he said " I need to hang up". I have talked on the phone with my boyfriend for many hours at a time and he has never done that. Were you both engaged in the conversation? Or was one talking more than the other?

Maybe he was waiting for you to say it first? Maybe someone yelled at him to do something? Maybe he was just tired of being on the phone after six hours? Cut the poor guy some slack and calm down a minute. It would make me feel awkward personally if I told somebody that I had to go and they didn't say anything to me in return (see "(silence)" in your question). Why don't you ask him?

um thats really weird. Was it something you said that might have offended him? Just give him some space and when he calls you ask him what was wrong. The best thing to do is to wait until he is ready to talk, in which he will call you, if you call him non stop hasseling him about it or being too curious itll just push him away more and it wont get you anywhere.
This is a really weird situation but it will all work out, you just need to be patient and things will work out, Best of luck to you both!

Maybe his cell phone cut out. I know that I always tell my wife I love her before I hang up, but on occassion I am in a hurry or something and forget. Don't read to much into it at this point, but ask him if he was okay, and if he says yes, then just leave it be. He may have something on his mind, but is not ready to approach the subject just yet.

For the love of God, stop being so clingy! After six hours on the phone, most people would be itching to hang up. No offense intended, but you can't possibly be that engaging -- NO one is.

If I was on the phone for 6 hours I'd want to cry to.
He probably just needed to get on with his life- did you expect he would stay on the phone all night and day?
Relax hon. Relationships get FAR more complicated than this.
