please help me interpret my situation with a new guy?

i just started seeing this guy that i reallllyyy like. hes not my boyfriend or anything but we do kiss and touch eachother. today, he took off of work and invited me over. i would have gone however it would require me taking a train through a few very bad neighborhoods. i explained to him that i did not want to go by myself and asked if he would come pick me up so i get the jist of the train. i did not want to go alone on this train through rough neighborhoods for the first time by myself. i feel that this is reasonable and understandable. he proceeded to get frustrated with me and basically called me ridiculous because this is the second time i insisted not to go alone for the first time taking that train. he said other girls have done this who are younger than me. please note that i work in the same place as him so you can imagine how awkward it will be if we stop talking over something so little. what's your take on this? thanks for your time

He sounds like a jerk. You're not dating, but you're intimate (kissing, touching, etc.)? Sounds like he doesn't want to have to work at getting a girl in his bed, if you know what I mean.

If you want to attempt to pursue this, get together with some of your friends and ride the train with them from your stop to his. See what it's like to ride on the train through these neighborhoods with some friends, so you know your way.

Beware of this guy though; he doesn't sound very respectful.

darling, he is being unreasonable, it doesn't matter who has been on the ctrain before or whether these girls were younger or not! if you don't wwant to take a risk and put your life in danger, and feel unsafe, he should be understanding and show some care instead of being so rude... he is overreacting and you are right! find yourself someone new to hang out with or someone who would go with you! good luck hun!

Sounds like he is using you first of all, and secondly not being careful about your safety. Any guy who was any kind of gentleman and worth dating would not do either of these things. Find a man, not a boy.

If he is a co-worker, then I think you need to put him on the "just friends" list. If he got upset over your need for your own personal safety, then he is a jerk you do not need to worry about anyway. Tell him since the other girls have done it, to call them.
