i consider him 1 of my best friends but then i fell for him and my friend asked him if he like me and he said i dont know she kept at it and he finally said that he did but he's not fully over his last relationship but u know maybe in the near future ... she told me and i got so excited.. well then he was asking all the weird questions askin me if i was TRULLY over my last b/f and i am and if i liked anyone and who then he would guess (even though we both knew who it was) well i finally get conviced to tell him and then he RAN AWAY im serious i was like person i like is.. then he goes dont tell me and RAN AWAY ... so i was so upset and durin class i couldnt look @ him but to sum it up he told me it was best if we just stay friends so i was like ok.. but i was CRUSHED it was my first real rejection and i like him so much but now its really akward between us and i dont want it 2 b thats wat drove my ex and me apart i cannt let it happen wat do i do i NEED him as a friend but its so HARD!

Even if it's not what you truly want at this time, tell him, "I'm sorry about earlier. But you're one of my best friends, and no matter what happens, I really want you to stay that way." Just continue being nice to him and friendly, say hi, act like you used to. But you're helping to make the situation awkward by not talking to him or looking at him. Swallow your pride and go be his friend!

consider his feelings maybe he is just nervous or maybe he isn't over his ex and wants to b alone. His ex could of gave him alot of heartbreak and he doesn't want to go throught that agen. o r maybe he just likes you as a friend and it wud be akward if u 2 dated.
