The Bible tells us that Jesus went to heaven, it does not say that we do. On the contrary we are told that not even David, who was loved of God, went to heaven.
We are told that our reward is in heaven and that Jesus will bring it with him when he returns.
Acts 3:20 '....and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus. whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
If people did go to heaven those involved with some of Jesus' most important miracles would have been a little unhappy to have been 'brought back'. Lazarus had been dead four days, if he had gone to a 'better place' what point would there have been in Jesus doing that miracle? Jesus had wept when he was told about the death in the first place.
We are told that Jesus will return and that the dead will be raised.
We have to forgive others as God forgives us, it is in the Lord's prayer.

If we are about to be transported to the Pearly Gates but have not utterly forgiven absolutely everyone who ever sinned against us, then would our entrance into heaven depend upon OUR forgiveness of others? That's another way of putting your question. Or, if we must forgive everyone before we can get into heaven, does that mean Jesus' sacrifical death was insufficient to give us God's forgiveness? Does entry into heaven depend on Christ's sacrifice PLUS something else - something we have to do? The Bible categorically says, 'No!'
Yet if we stubbornly refuse to forgive our brother, that might call into question whether we truly belong to Christ. To refuse to forgive is to hate, and there is no love where there is no forgiveness. There is, however, a difference between refusing to forgive and struggling to forgive - finding it very hard to do but trying. That's why Jesus said so much about forgiveness: the parable of the servant, forgiven by his master for owing him a vast amount and being unable to repay any of it, then turning on his fellow-servant who couldn't repay a small amount, flinging him into prison. Christians should be so overwhelmed by the extent of God's forgiveness that they readily forgive their brother and all others.
Chrysostom (344-407) called forgiveness the very highest summit of self-control. Yet we cannot plead for salvation on the basis that we had already forgiven others, for then it would be a conditional salvation and we could only keep saved as long as we kept forgiving everybody. If we stopped we would lose our salvation. That's why the Lord's prayer is not a prayer for the non-Christian. And we must keep confessing our own sins to God, asking for his forgiveness (1 John 1:8). So, if you find it impossible to forgive a brother for some offence, confess that sin to God and he will enable you to truly forgive, from your heart.

Mark 11:25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."
Mark 11:26 "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
If you are dealing with offense and unforgiveness, I highly recommend reading "Bait of Satan" by John Bevere as well.

The only way into heaven is faith alone in the truth that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again. Once you believe that about Jesus, you are born again and Jesus will direct your heart with His power to forgive others.

To err is human; to forgive, divine.
I'M sure not divine. I hope to be forgiven but don't expect me to forgive everyone. I simply can't do it.
