1 timothy 1:10 fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching
... god views this being as big of a sin as he would a kidnapper, a liar, a false swearer.
it is hard in this world today to deal with things like this.. some say you are 'born' into it.. and you just feel this certain way for the same sex. it is still a sin. although you might have these thoughts and feelings to act on it is wrong.

Yes, Laura, I believe homosexual sex is a sin. God created them male and female. He created hetero marriage.
There are a few who have hormonal difficulties and who have birth defects that affect their sexuality. They are never at fault for this, but God still doesn't want two men or two women having sex together. There are also some who say they have always felt they were in the wrong body. I know this is their experience.
This is such a difficult issue. Very few people can agree on how it should be. I do know God loves ALL people. He made marriage and that homelife to nurture children. It is confusing to a child to have 2 moms or 2 dads in their home. Just as multiple step parents is tough on children also.
"Jesus came not to condemn the world, but so that the World might be saved thru Him." Read John 3:15-18 and see how much God loves each one of us.
Love and not condemnation is Jesus' style. But he still says the truth. If something is wrong Jesus calls it wrong. He wants to help us.
I'll give my own personal example: I was molested by male/female perpetrators as a small child. I was molested by family members, a pastor, one teacher and my first dentist. Human love/sexuality was a painful, horrible mess for me. Jesus Christ has been healing my heart from my horrible childhood nightmares for 37 years. I have been married for 27 years. It hasn't been easy because I found it hard to trust ANYONE. Jesus has helped us stay married and work things out. If God can heal my sexuality then He can heal anyone's. This is my personal experience, my beliefs. I don't say them to create a fight or to be unkind. I was broken and God healed me, that's my message.

Yes it's just another sin that Christians can struggle with all their lives. Just like Christians who have problems with controlling gossip. It's ALL THE SAME in God's eyes. Show homosexuals love not hate!

YES! It is definately a sin. Its clearly says so in the Bible. "Do not practice homosexuality; it is a destable sin." Leviticus 18:22. However sin is sin is sin is sin. Homosexuality is just as bad as the sin of cheating. Sin, no matter what the sin is the same in GOD'S eyes.

According to St John the Divine Homosexual men and women who are celibate are doubly blessed and are called to holiness within the church, as others have pointed out,, it is not homosexuality which is a sin,, it is any "disordered" sex act.
A sexual act is disordered if it is not open to the possibility of conception, therefore a homosexual act is no more, or less, sinful than a church married couple using a condom.

Yes i believe it is a sin. In (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."

All people have the capacity to be homosexual, some people just run with it. Of course it is a sin.

What I think and what you think really don't matter. What does God think-this matters. Homosexuality is condemned in the Bible. Under the OT law it carries the death penalty. In the NT it is considered sin.

Well God is all knowing. So he knew that when he created a person that is homosexual that they would be homosexual. So if it is of his doing then it can't be a sin right? It is gross though......

I believe, from the Bible, that homosexualtiy is wrong.
However, I also believe it is wrong- and useless- to go bite people's heads off for being homosexual.
If we want to try to plant the seed for a Christian opinion in a Homesexual person's mind, we should do so gently or their mind will harden against us. And it'd be just plain mean.
