What kind of feeling do Canadian immigrants generate versus immigrants from Mexico/South America?

For the most part - unless the Canadian is a visible minority (in terms of the American racial mix), they simply don't even register on the American population's "immigration" radar.
If, however, the Canadian IS a visible minority ... they get the worst of both worlds. Both disrespect and attitude for their visible minority status AND the same for being an immigrant to the US.
The visible minority does not have to be Hispanic, either; it could be Asian, African, Native American, or even some European ethnicities.

Well... there are a few differences that you would have to consider to qualify an answer to this.
Canadians and Mexicans alike are welcomed here... they're both our neighbors.
Canadians don't try to change our English speaking country into a French speaking country.
There are not 12 million illegal alien Canadians here...
Canadians are not causing huge surges in the crime rate here.
But... if either a Canadian or a Mexican wishes to immigrate here, they're welcome to do so in a legal manor.

This jogs my memory of the Michael Moore movie approximately gun crime wherein he observed that that crime is decrease in Canada than the U. S.. and that i assumed it made experience until I study the national placed up which observed that all and sundry the states bordering Canada have crime quotes similar to Canada aside from manhattan and Michigan. So i think of it comes right down to inhabitants density. once you're packed in like a can of latest Brunswick sardines the way we are actually of course all human beings is going to act in a under friendly way. look at each and all of the recent Yorkers who moved to Nfld after 9/11.

Personally, I'm sick of 'em.
Tired of all that crap about their socialized medical establishment, and yet they're all coming HERE because the tax structure of Canada chokes off job growth. If their universal healthcare is so great, then STAY IN CANADA!!!

I think all immigrants are perceived well. Its the ILLEGAL immigrants that has become the problem.

There numbers aren't large enough to make a difference. Plus they don't kill people with machete's to gain entrance into thier drug running cartels
