I'm familiar with freedom fries and freedom toast, but are there other foods which employ such beautiful ideas as freedom, democracy, liberty etc?

Please don't say "us" justme. What makes you think I'm American? I agree with your nomenclature of foods not necessarily your foreign policy.

During WWI Sauerkraut was renamed liberty cabbage and hamburgers were called liberty steaks.
