Don't they have gift shops and such at hotels?

Houskeeping (cleaning the rooms) would probably have the most jobs available.
They do often have gift shops at hotels - those are sometime owned by the hotel, and sometime not - if not, you'd have to apply directly to the gift shop.

i've been wanting to get a job since this summer, but never found an opportunity. either no ones hiring, or the ones that are hiring aren't the kind id want. hopefully next summer im able to start working and earning a little cash on the side. i would try lookin for a job rite now, but wouldnt hav the time to manage school with it.
i thought about working at a hotel because one was built really close to where i live, but thought that they probably wouldn't hire someone 16 and without experience. i'm probably going to look into a cashier job somewhere when its time to get a job.

hotel concierge would be a good job. You need some very good customer service experience as you will be dealing with hotel clients all day.

i guess you can work as the candy girl or a maid
maybe work at the reception desk
