Christianity is about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Jesus in your heart you will not go to Heaven. Jesus is our Saviour, he died on the cross to save the whole world by dying for our sins. Sins separate us from God, Jesus came and washed our sins away because he was a perfect Sacrifice on the Cross. He was sinless, Perfect in everyway. Now in John 3:3 Jesus says that we must be born again Spiritually to go to Heaven. Their is a natural birth and there is a spiritual birth, unless you confess your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart you will end up in a lake of fire with the devil for all eternity. It is the Lords will that all be saved, if you seek him you will find him. If you decide you are just going to do your way then hell is where it will end up. The old devil is always telling you lies, read John 8:44, the fact is you have to make a decision, to follow Jesus or not, and quickly, you may or maynot be here tomorrow, Jesus can make you a child of his right now, here is a sinners prayer of faith, if you will pray this with all your heart and soul you will be saved, and you will start a new life with Jesus, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

The New Testament touches on the subject of mankind's relationship to plants and animals occasionally, for example; Jesus' teaching about humans being of much greater worth than birds and plants, (Matthew 6v25~34) and caring for animals on the Sabbath (Matthew 12v11 & Luke14v5) and his parable of the lost sheep, (Matthew 18 & Luke 15). The Old Testament we inherited, contains loads of things about not being cruel to animals. Even so, most people were carnivors, but some people were vegitarians, like the prophet Daniel, (Daniel 1v12).

I suggest you read a book about it only because anyone can't cover the depth of any religion in a few words. Here's a brief summary though.
Christianity is based on love and faith. Love for others, no matter who they may be. Faith in the invisible, but existing God. Christianity believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was born through the Virgin Mary who was impregnated through spirit, not through any ordinary means. She gave birth to Jesus who later wandered around with 12 disciples teaching about love and faith until he got arrested, tortured and crucified. He died on the cross and rose again on the third day and went to heaven.
yea.

Genesis 1:26 "Then God Said, "Let Us Make a man - someone like Ourselves, to be the master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas." So God Made man like his Maker. Like God did God Make man; man and maid did He Make them. And God Blessed them and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it; you are masters of the fish and birds adn all the animals. And look! I have given you the seed bearing plants throughout the earth, and all the fruit trees for your food. And I've given all the grass and plants to the animals and birds for their food." the God Looked over all that He had Made, and it was excellent in every way. This ended the sixth day."

So contrary to popular belief, in the eyes of God mankind is master over all the earth, all of His Creation! This means that God Gave us the privilege to be stewards of His world and to care for it for Him! This is a great responsibility and we need to take it seriously - however that does not mean 'going bananas' over things as greenies would have us do!

Genesis 9:1-3 "God Blessed Noah and his sons and told them to have many children and to repopulate the earth. "All wild animals and birds and fish will be afraid of you. " God Told him; "for I have Placed them in your power, and they are yours to use for food, in addition to grain and vegetables....""

So when Noah came out of the ark, God Gave mankind permission to use animals, birds and fish for food!

1 Timothy 4:1-6 "But The Holy Spirit Tells us clearly that in the last times some in the church will turn away from Christ and become eager followers of teachers with devil-inspired ideas. These teachers will tell lies with straight faces and do it so often that their consciences won't even bother them. They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat meat, even though God Gave these things to well-taught Christians to enjoy and be thankful for. For EVERYTHING God Made is good, and we may eat it gladly if we are THANKFUL for it, and if we ASK God to Bless it, for it is MADE good BY The Word of God and prayer. If you explain this to the others you will be doing your duty as a worthy minister, who is fed by faith and by the true teaching you have followed."

Given the current climate of all the 'health scares' put out by scientists and governments, particularly where food is concerned, these verses make sense!

There are a growing number of vegetarians who would give anything to see the rest of us forced into their ways! However, God Gave food to BE a Blessing and a Pleasure in all of its fullness! Naturally He doesn't want us to be glutens - but He DOES Want us to ENJOY and APPRECIATE and be THANKFUL for His Provision!

I can't help wondering sometimes what vegetarians think will happen to cows, sheep, etc if they had their way? Do they really think that they would still be raised? Apart from the ones used for clothing, there would be no use for them - and farmers can't afford to have livestock that brings no return! So they would become more or less obsolete in a very short space of time! Just a thought!!!

Love in Jesus,

Margi

Genesis chapter 1 sums it up

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
