As I write this some kid is choking to death right in front of me. Should I help him, or should I call 911?.....You mean do it now?!
Why the hell do people seem waste time asking medical questions on here as they are bleeding to death? Yes, I am exggerating. They also ask about suicidal/abusive friends here instead of going to the proper people. ;)

So many people just don't have "common sense". The Internet is there life line to the world, not just a hobby or something to do in your spare time. Silly.....

I totally agree. The ones I REALLY can't stand though, are the "Am I pregnant?" questions. GRRR!!!
I once read a question in one of the health sections about a girl whose eye was irritating her and it was turning colors. I told her it could've been a number of things and that she needed to get to the optometrist because no one on this site was qualified to tell her what was wrong without actually seeing her. Another answerer stated that he didn't know quite what I meant about no one being qualified since people call him "Doctor" where he works and then went on to tell her (supposedly) what was wrong and how to fix it. She chose his as the Best Answer.

I would try to help him and have someone else call 911...that is what we are taught in the military

I know what you mean. I have begun to refuse to give an answer in those cases. I cannot count how many times my answer has been simply, "Go to the hospital now".
