I keep hearing about how poor these families are who are migrating to the US and breaking laws while doing so. I keep hearing that we are supposed to pardon them because they are poor and only trying to feed their children.
This question applies to ANYONE, legal citizen or not, If I were to go breed like an animal without taking any personal responsibility for the life I created and asked you to pay for my children would you complain? Or would you say say I was just trying to make a better life for my children?
Please explain to me how that argument follows logically

your perception is incorrect.
I rarely watch tv or listen to radio. This is my personal opinion as a responsible adult.

kenneth.. i know well what i am talking about. some of my family is on reservation, the most truly impoverished regions of the US. My mother divorced, disabled and raised three children on SSI disability with ADFC while we were still living under the roof. I have more experience than a lot of people do. I KNOW how difficult it is do break free of the system once it has you in its clutches.

Come on,
They probably aren't smart enough to figure out how they are getting knocked up in the first place-
Sorry, I have no legitimate argument for this stupidity- it irritates the crap out of me to see children raised in filth by parents who are leaching off the system because they are too trashy to keep their damn knees put together instead of laying down for every Tom, Dick and Harry they see.
ADD: Birth control is free at every health department in America-
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR UNPROTECTED SEX EXCEPT IRRESPONSIBILITY> PERIOD>AN UNPLANNED PREGANANCY DOES NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN JUST BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE SEX- BUT IT WILL HAPPEN (ALMOST GUARANTEED ) WITH UNPROTECTED SEX.
If you are not responsible enough to lookout for your body how in the heck are you going to gather up the necessary wits to take care of your child's health.

I do not believe for one second that such an inhumane, heartless, and hateful person as you could have ever known what it is like to really suffer. You say you've traveled to several other countries. Have you ever been to Africa, as I have? Or Mexico (not Cancun) but the poorest parts? If you have, then SHAME ON YOU! I expect this behavior from people who are ignorant, but not from someone who has supposedly personally experienced hardship or witnessed others suffer. If you can honestly tell me that you wouldn't do EVERYTHING necessary in your power (legal or not) in order to feed your children (if you had any) then I think that most people would agree with me that YOU are the one who should not have children. Also, how does it make sense for you to judge anyone who is receiving welfare or not able to provide for their children when YOUR mother was supposedly one of those people, and it also seems as if she also didn't not raise you with good values and morals so maybe SHE shouldn't have HAD CHILDREN.

Contraception is too expensive for many people in the USA whether they are citizens, legal or illegal immigrants. If you can't afford contraception you certainly can't afford to raise a child. It would be easy to suggest abstinence but in reality that never works.
Sadly you need a permit in America to keep a dog but anyone is allowed to have a child. Would you really think mandatory contraception for everyone until they can prove they can not only support a child but raise it well would be a vote winner? It is a tempting idea but way too close to eugenics.
Too many people have children without thinking about the responsibilities that entails.

It seems to be a broad socio-economic phenomenon that the very poor have more children than do the (comparatively) well-off in developed countries.
There are many possible reasons. In developed nations, children are an expense, since they're not allowed to work, and the cost of living is high. In less developed nations, children often make a positive economic contribution to thier families from an early age. Thus, children are an asset for the latter, but a luxury for the former.

No, it is not a sturdy reason to provide up a toddler. I went to college with toddlers whose mom and dad have been poor, I additionally comprehend mom and dad now who're all poor. besides the undeniable fact that by using the years those toddlers have been nicely feed, had clothing on their backs, footwear on their ft, been enjoyed by using their mom and dad and none would exchange a element through fact they have had a loving upbringing. Taking toddlers on high priced trip trips and giving them high priced clothing, food and toys does not inevitably make that parent an more advantageous parent it only skill they'd have adequate money greater issues. what's substantial is offering for the toddler and giving them a loving, secure ecosystem to advance up in. Incidently once I had my son i replaced into working and would desire to have adequate money to advance my son which might have lined trip trips overseas. It did no longer end my mom and dad from coercing me.

The only long-term solution is two-part but very simple:
1) Children born to parents who knew (or logically should have known) they couldn't afford to raise them should be disallowed from raising them. In the interest of the child, it must be placed in a better home.
2) The most valuable and beneficial charity we can provide is the 12-month birth control inoculation used in Europe. It is NOT the pill and has no negative track record. Lasts a full year. Allows girls to continue their education. Prevents kids being born into unfit homes.

Dear,
you don't need to defend your personal opinion. I agree with you 200%, but you shouldn't need to worry about what I think of it. One thing I need to point out to you, is that animals in the wilderness breed very responsibly, they do it automatically according to what they sensed the environment could provide. Humans, we are the least capable ones who screw up everything.
Live Life:
boy do have you a ultra tender spot. No one is judging you on anything!! My Goodness any one says something they offend you and your poor little selfesteem.
And to wish her bad Karma like you did?? you don't seem to be even a decent human being, with or without your problems.

The over population and educational systems are a failure. Consequences are never realized until the reality of the plain fact they you need income to provide for your responsibilities. I am for one not so enthused about paying for other peoples children ie.(responsibilities) . Social programs can not work if those people are uneducated and are so use to living off the American teet. Sorry, but sadly it is a fact. They just are breeding themselves into poverty every time they do it. Family is important, but you should be able to pride yourself on taking care of them instead of overly doing it and expecting a free ride...

Makes perfect sense but of course your assuming people are intelligent enough to think about the cost of caring for a child but basically most people don't . They just have a kid if they want a kid. The problem is there is no way to punish such people , any form would be a punishment for the kid and not really for the people that had the kid

I can't fathom why any thinking adult would produce children that they can't feed or clothe or even keep clean. It boggles the mind! Yes, I would complain, I fed and took care of my child with no freebies and I had to work very hard to do it. I wouldn't have been able to have more than one if I wanted him to have access to college and all the other things that children need. I'm sorry but there are lots of methods to keep from conceiving. And I hate the excuse of religion. If it were to follow the teachings in the Bible, they wouldn't be stealing IDs, or working under the table or forming hate groups or any of the other things that are being witnessed in society today. I guess pride is something that has to be taught and is not inherent.

it is sad to see american families having lots of kids for bigger welfare checks. like this white girl i know who has 6 kids by different dads and some dads pay her child support. and the rest of her living expenses and crank habit is being payed for by my husbands tax dollars.
as for mexicans having a bunch of kids, it is a cultural thing. the more kids you have the more money from their wages come into their house hold. usually the boys grow up but not all of them leave the house. most of them get married and live with his parents to help support the family and farm. then by the time the dad and mama are too old to work then all the grandchildren and children take good care of their elderly. that is in the ranchero part of mexico. but the same culture remains in the big city and border towns. they are trying to make a better life but there are less jobs. anybody who makes any money in the border towns would be robbed. by other hungry people. i guess it is harder to grow crops and livestock in the desert.
