I have heard that it is bad... I have heard that it is normal.
I don't know what to think, I dont want to sin...
BUT if it is indeed Sinful, how on earth am I going to stop?
It's addicting...

i believe that it is not bad because if you masturbate maybe you will save yourself for marriage. but if you let it take over your life in a bad way yes it is wrong. there is nothing wrong with exploring your body but do not take it to far.

Just don't do it!! (alone!)
Just say no!! (don't stop!) ;P

Haha! Joke!

but IMHO it would be better to be safe than sorry. The bible never really mentions masturbation, but it does say a lot against lust and wicked thoughts and immorality. Couple that with the body being the crib of the holy spirit and you got yourself a potential problem...

Abstain from it instead , or get married right away and start humping - your hubby only of course -

If one part of your body sins, it would be much better to gauge it out than to have it spewing out *uhm* in the fires of hell...

It is difficult, but not impossible. Pray to God for the strength. There are some strategies that you can take. Don't despair if you fall again. If you are generally trying to make strategies to stop, I personally believe that you are not completely breaking away from the love of God. You could be bored. If so, find more ways of being active. Sometimes I think there is loneliness involved for people. Find fun things to do where you can meet someone. In marriage this problem can also be difficult, but I think it helps to have someone who helps you not to feel that "burn". Sexual feelings are very strong in all of us for the good reason of bringing more life into the world. These feelings do take time to find the will, with the help of God, to bring them into proper focus.

only an idiot would think that it is sinful.

it is a natural way to regulate your sex drive that occurs naturally in nature as well as humans.

it is no more a sin than eating or breathing.

fundies would tell you that A) you can't have sex before marriage because that is a sin (Its not, but thats another issue) and B) they then say that the best way to regulate your body's sex drive is also a sin.

instead they offer false and solutions that obviously don't work as they can't fight natural instinct, such as prayer or belief in the "lord's work" etc.

it is the equvalent of someone telling you that you are no longer allowed to feel pain, but it is a sin to alter your body so you don't.

pretty sick if you ask me.

An excellent question!, And one that would require you to dig a little deeper in GOD's Word.
I could tell you some scriptures, but that would take away from your own study, which is necessary to assist in your growth.
"Seek and ye shall find!"

As long as it doesn't interfere with or damage your work or personal life then it does no damage. If there is no damage done to yourself or others then how could it possibly be sinful?

Well, it is fornication and so it's sin, but better than getting HIV.

If God didn't want you touching it, he wouldn't have made it feel good. Have fun and don't stress!!
